Alive

Design is created from the urge of wanting more natural interaction in the surrounded environment. 'Alive' is inspired by water - the foundation and source of all life. Once Marcele Kuliesiute crossed the biophilic design definition, she tried to apply the aspects of it to the design. It says that rhythm or movement, perceived in nature, creates a strong impression and a positive impact on the people. The designer created 'Alive' for public interiors, offices, and other public spaces, to provide the vitality of the environment and to remind of and nurture Mother Nature.

Wood Storm

The Wood Storm is a desktop installation for visual enjoyment. The turbulence of air flow is made real by a wood curtain as enhanced by lights casted from below for a world without gravity. The installation behaves like an endless dynamic loop. It guides the line of sight around it to seek for the beginning or end point as the audiences are actually dancing with the storm.

Evolve

Evolve is a cosmic kaleidoscope that changes colors as viewers walk by. At dawn, Evolve refracts sunlight into a dichromatic rainbow throughout the lobby of Leidos Inc. Visitors are welcomed in with playful colored shadows that move throughout the day. Evolve is gracefully suspended by aircraft cable, and uses NASA developed dichroic Plexiglas to create a space age feel. The sculptures apex features a Penrose triangle proving that this once thought impossible object can, in fact, exist.

Shining in Wisdom and Glory

Shining in Wisdom and Glory is adopts the shapes and colors of the Taiwan police badge as its creative metaphorical elements for manifest the nature of the Police. It is the job of the Police to maintain public order and security, to prevent the society from any possible harm. The panoramic image is the bird view on the city of infinite expansion to embody the vigorousness and justice of the Police. Its the mission and vision of the Police. Cabochon mirror in the center of the picture, which like a big eye is always caring and guarding the city.

Supplement of Original

White veins in river stones lead to random patterns on the surfaces. The selection of certain river stones and their arrangement transforms these patterns into symbols, in form of Latin letters. This is how words and sentences are created when stones are in the right position next to each other. Language and communication arise and their signs become a supplement to what is already there.

Arc

The dynamic arc adds a simple flavor to the chaotic city. Two spheres are placed at the bottom of both sides to make the arc have tension. The sphere itself has the desire to occupy the surrounding space, which makes it possible to think whether the curvature of the arc is caused by the two spheres. The elegant lines add a sense of interest and beauty to the square city.
