P'iolin

P'iolin is a Stradivarius 1/2 violin which is made of French water color paper. Even both wood and paper are the materials used widely in our life, there are still a lot of different properties between them. Paper, as the recombination of wood, is the material used to record information and art. Actually, it was used to record music as the music score and to present the paints as water color paper. Therefore, P'iolin is a design try to make paper to combine these concepts; expressing music with the performance of paper.

Santander World

Santander World is a public art event consiting of a group of sculptures that celebrate art and envelops the city of Santander (Spain) in preparation for the World Sailing Championship Santander 2014. The sculptures measure 4.2 meters high, are made of sheet steel and each one of them are made by different visual artists. Each one of the pieces represent conceptually the culture one of the 5 continents. It's meaning is to represent the love and respect for cultural diversity as a tool for peace, through the eyes of different artists, and show that society welcomes the diversity with open arms.

Labyrinth

Labyrinth by ArteNemus is a chest of drawers whose architectural appearance is emphasized by the meandering path of its veneer, reminiscent of streets in a city. The remarkable conception and mechanism of the drawers complement its understated outline. The contrasting colors of the maple and black ebony veneer as well as the high quality craftsmanship underscore Labyrinth’s exclusive appearance.

Order - development

Because of their limited experience comparing with skilled workers, many technique problems popped out during the construction: the edge of plank is outward, how to identify the cutting angle of every plank at surface? How to maintain the balance and identify the stress point? Every step of this project was beset with difficulties.7 of them worked together, broke in and matched up, finally completed the work 10 days later. Comparing with the result, they enjoyed more in the whole process, and benefitted more. They made progress and had breakthrough every day.

Mangrove

Designed by the Brazilian architect Guilherme Torres for Swarovski Crystal Palace, the instalation is a big Voronoi diagram, which describes the division of spaces into cells with corresponding focal points, combined with the mangrove-root imagery, leding Torres and his team to design angled structures of acrylic tubes that are filled with amber-colored crystals and illuminated from within by LEDs. These root structures, which Torres wanted to look as if they were made of crystals, are set into shallow pools of water, against a backdrop of projections of an Amazonian sunset.

Breeze

Breeze is a Sculpture’s exhibition pedestal. It is deliberately design to improve the appreciation of Sculpture while providing a solid fixture and safety from general public. Breeze originates as a response to create harmony between applied arts (Interior decoration, and architecture) and fine arts (Sculpture). The design combines tangible and ambiguous elements to produce a balance relation between the Sculpture, the Plinth and the Space.
