Artificial Topography

Big Furniture Like a Cave This is the award-winning project won the Grand Prize of Art in Container International Competition. My idea is to hollow out the volume inside a container in order to build amorphous space like a cave. It is made of only plastic material. About 1000 sheets of the soft plastic material of 10-mm thickness were cut down in contour line form and were laminated like stratum. This is not only art but also big furniture. Because all the portions are soft like a sofa, and person who enter into this space can relax by finding the place suitable for the form of its own body.

Resonance

Resonance is a site specific floating light installation composed of seven modular black iron structures positioned in the waters of Yuejin Harbor. Inspired by the cyclical order of the Seven Luminaries, the installation translates celestial rhythms into sequences of programmed light that extend across water and shoreline. Woven nylon ropes act as both structural tension and luminous surfaces, diffusing light through the steel framework. Through reflections, spatial layering, and controlled light movement, the installation creates a dynamic visual field that shifts with distance and viewpoint.

Mystical Serpent

On the facade of a century old building in Shanghai China, Mystical Serpent was created a lighting art installation, blending serpent legends from ancient China and Rome. The winding 3D inflatable snake body is made of lightweight recyclable materials. It passes through the walls and windows that present a pseudo 3D effect by covering printed murals and pasting glass stickers. This installation connects the horizontal and vertical spaces, creating a three dimensional sense as a whole. It also brings a new visual experience to this century old building.

Conch

The Conch combines nature's beauty with mathematical precision, featuring an elliptical Fibonacci spiral resembling a conch, infinity symbol, or musical note. Designed with parametric software, it consists of 30 layers of elliptical metal rings stacked precisely for a light, rhythmic structure. Concealed water pipes in the base create a hidden fountain at the sculpture's center. Symbolizing natural growth and cosmic energy flow, the spiral inspires contemplation on mathematics, nature, and aesthetics, enhancing urban landscapes with deep symbolism and cultural significance.

Thank You Bouquet

The Thank You Bouquet is a site specific bamboo installation featuring 180 hand woven floral forms. Located in Daan Forest Park, the project employs traditional Taiwanese weaving techniques to construct an immersive environment. Each modular blossom is meticulously crafted, showcasing the tensile strength and flexibility of natural fibers. The installation interacts with environmental factors, where the structures respond to shifts in light and wind. By integrating heritage craft into an urban setting, the work transforms a public lawn into a reflective space for the community.
