Interview with Zhou Wenjun : Frank Scott: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?. Zhou Wenjun : We helped to deliver a comprehensive design to completely upgrade the image of this 1000m2 store .Frank Scott: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?. Zhou Wenjun : An innovative redesign of a state of the art and fashion shopping space to attract customers and effectively alleviate the impact from on-line sellers. We helped to deliver a comprehensive design to completely upgrade the image of this 1000m2 store, including: architectural renovation, overall interior design, product, brand logo and visual identity system. .Frank Scott: What are your future plans for this award winning design?. Zhou Wenjun : Publish and let more people know how good design it is, how work successfully it is, all publish for our teams and for our clients .Frank Scott: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?. Zhou Wenjun : About 6 month .Frank Scott: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?. Zhou Wenjun : For unique, and for best qulitity .Frank Scott: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?. Zhou Wenjun : There r 2 design firm, both r my design team, work for this, 524 Studio + 524 Architecture & Design We designed all, including: architectural renovation, overall interior design, product, brand logo and visual identity system. .Frank Scott: What made you design this particular type of work?. Zhou Wenjun : We're enjoy designing the whole things, not just for spatial, not just for brand, not just for product... everything need design, it's a integrated and mixed. we do well in crossover design. .Frank Scott: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?. Zhou Wenjun : My team: 524 Studio + 524 Architecture & Design .Frank Scott: Who is the target customer for his design?. Zhou Wenjun : each customers .Frank Scott: What is the most unique aspect of your design?. Zhou Wenjun : the world’s first and unique handrail that grows up gradually from the ground (not start from the common 1000mm),contemplated other soft-looking facilities,fused the Chinese name into its English initials BBG, and used the images of four shoes as strokes of characters. tried the best to highlight this unique logo. .Frank Scott: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?. Zhou Wenjun : Crafts-man for sculpture, worker for architectural renovation, and 3d print.... .Frank Scott: What is the role of technology in this particular design?. Zhou Wenjun : Everything is supporting, all for the design .Frank Scott: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?. Zhou Wenjun : Analytical research is needed before design, space, customer, others... .Frank Scott: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?. Zhou Wenjun : We need pay more times to persuaded clients and workers to understand our great design. .Frank Scott: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?. Zhou Wenjun : Our design works, all of them r good quality enough, they had won many top international design awards for recent years. .
