This design interacts with displayed subject by modules. This theme stand is designed with self-expanded mechanism to connect six or more cubes to an up-scaled unit in three perpendicular directions. The free form configuration with notches makes the connection similar to interlaced dancing people. The arrangement of small holes creates a structure of accommodation for subject with linear parts.
The symbolic meaning of rooster culture has appeared in their respective countries and nations, symbolizing the totalitarianism of patriarchal society and the fearless, arrogant and untouchable leader temperament. Artists use the visual language of sculpture to express a kind of aloof and arrogant temperament. It attempts to replace realism with pure form, to grasp some stable elements from accidental changes, and to give these elements a face close to abstraction, thus making it obtain free changes. This work is a return to the original naturalism.
A washi maker Yukari Sato, she collaborated with woodworker, and a 3D Modeler. The production of Hineri starts with building the delicate wooden frames which are jointed by 3D printed parts. A smooth surface is created with thin lines of threads and the paper-making process is repeated many times by dipping it into the water tank containing bark fiber of mulberry. The fiber spreads randomly between the threads and allows light to leak like sunlight shining through the tree leaves. Proposing a new approach to craftsmanship by combining traditional techniques with the latest technology.

Arisa Nakayama's work, Watage, aims to visualize the subtle motion of air. The main material utilized to create Watage is light and delicate dandelion puff which flutters as viewers pass by. This principle gives birth to an interactive experience without objects being animated by modern technology or electricity. Nakayama's ambition in this project is to go beyond the work’s aesthetic value of a small craft object, and lead the viewers to apperceive their own existence with refreshed clarity.
The work was designed for drinking cognac. It is free-blown in a glass studio. This makes every glass piece individual. Glass is easy to grab and looks interesting from all angles. The shape of the glass reflects light from different angles adding extra enjoyment to drinking. Due to the flattened shape of the cup, you can place the glass on the table as you wish resting on either of its sides. The name and idea of the work celebrate the ageing of the artist. The design reflects the nuances of ageing and invokes the tradition of ageing cognac improving in quality.
